Only 5% of people wash their hands well enough to kill germs after using the toilet, according to a recent study. P&G soap brand Safeguard hopes to change that up with Germ Alarn, a soap dispenser that emits an alarm if you don’t wash. It’s triggered every time someone exits a bathroom stall and is disarmed only when the dispenser is pressed. The alarm has been installed in public restrooms across the Philippines, including in McDonald’s and in schools.
