Langland today announced that Mike Brightley has joined its advertising discipline as Creative Director. With over 14 years of healthcare advertising experience, Brightley has built up an eclectic portfolio working at Ogilvy Healthworld, PAN and most recently as Associate Creative Director at TBWA\WorldHealth.
“I’m delighted to welcome Mike to Langland’s Senior Creative Team. He is a proven and award-winning creative with outstanding writing ability,” comments Andrew Spurgeon, Executive Creative Director, Langland and Chief Creative Officer, Publicis Health Europe. “I am especially looking forward to the mentorship Mike will bring to our existing writing talent, whilst he supports me in delivering Langland’s Think Further creative vision for both our clients and team.”
During the course of his extensive career Mike has worked on insightful campaigns, applied emotion-recognition technology for adaptive storytelling and made a documentary on surfing doctors (White Coats & Wetsuits for Surfing Medicine International), to name but a few highlights. He particularly enjoys working on film and is passionate about nurturing talent.
Mike had to say of the move, “It’s an exciting time to be joining Langland. I have been working towards this next step in my career for a while and was attracted by the agency’s ambitious vision, deep-rooted commitment to creative excellence and unique approach to healthcare communications. Their Think Further ethos encourages curiosity and inspires proactivity: vital traits for a thriving agency culture. I can’t wait to share ideas and experiences with the team, continue to push creative boundaries and deliver the best work of my career.”
This appointment follows the launch of Langland’s new proposition in September 2020 and a string of new hires for the agency as a result of continued growth over the past 12 months.
