The IPA has launched the 2017 Best of Health Show, the world-renowned industry awards programme that rewards the best in creative healthcare advertising. This year it has added two new awards to its portfolio, to reward excellence in data and excellence in innovation.
As part of the craft category, the new award for Excellence in Data will reward entries that showcase the best in creative application, deployment, visualisation or insight from data. While the award for Excellence in Innovation will reward entries that showcase the best in healthcare innovation communication or technology. The awards tie-in with new IPA President Sarah Golding’s Magic and the Machines agenda that aims to maximise the potential of automation and machine-learning – including the embracing of data and its evaluation – to enhance the advertising industry, while also protecting it from its dark side.
The competition will also invite entries for the Pip Award for Young Talent. The Pip is aimed at agency professionals under thirty and requires them to tackle a charitable live brief, which this year has been set by MeeTwo Education, an organisation that supports young people with mental health through an app.
Says Convenor of Judges Diana Janicki, Executive Creative Director of TBWA\WorldHealth London: “The addition of these new categories acknowledges the true breadth of creativity that goes into making healthcare advertisements. Our business produces a wealth of truly impressive work – in spite of having to adhere to tight legal guideline – which deserves recognition and reward. I would therefore encourage all healthcare agencies to showcase their credentials and enter this esteemed competition. Let’s showcase our talent to the industry, clients and world at large.”
The deadline for entries is 25th August, with early bird discounts available until 4th August. The shortlist will be announced in October, with the new-look Awards ceremony taking place in November. Full details, including all awards categories, are available at http://www.bestofhealthshow.
